Events by Term

Create a page for your events by term
Set your page’s URL to “groupname/events_by_type”

If your page title is “Events Type” move on to Step 3
Select the “URL path settings” tab on the left
Uncheck the box for “Generate automatic URL alias”
Enter “groupname/events_by_type” into the “URL alias” field

Save your Page
Click on the “Panelizer” tab in the upper right area
Under “Operations” click on the “Context” link
In the first drop-down menu select "Argument String” and click the “Add context” button
In the “Path component” drop-down menu, select the appropriate path depth.

Example 1: “www.csun.edu/academic-affairs” would require 2
Example 2: “www.csun.edu/academic-affairs/web-team” would require 3

Save your Page
Choose “Content” beneath the “Panelizer” tab in the upper right area
In the main “Content” area, add the block “Upcoming Events (by term): Main”

Select “Add content” from the widget in the “Content” area
Scroll down to the “View Panes” category and select “View: Upcoming Events (by term): Main”
From the “OG membership: Group ID” drop-down menu, select “Group”
Make sure “Argument String” is selected from the “Content: Has taxonomy term ID” drop-down menu
Change any other options if you like before clicking on “Finish”

In the “Left Sidebar” area, add the block “Upcoming Events (by term): Summary List”

Select “Add content” from the widget in the “Left Sidebar” area
Scroll down to the “View Panes” category and select “View: Upcoming Events (by term): Summary List”
From the “OG membership: Group ID” drop-down menu, select “Group”
Change any other options if you like before clicking on “Finish”

Save your page
Publish your page
On your Group Landing Page click on the “Edit Draft” tab
Find the “Events by type page” drop-down menu and select the page you created
When you view your page, click on one of the categories to the left to filter by category
If you want to display all events, the URL must end with “all”

Example: “www.csun.edu/academic-affairs/web-team/events_by_type/all”
