Evening Miss Vanessa,
I appreciate you choosing me for your interview, and I will gladly answer your questions 8).
I believe that creativity is definitely part of human nature, it is something we are born with or without. All people tend show creativity from early age, in everyday activities, and even their thought processes. Obviously, anyone can learn to paint, but not everyone can be creative enough to make something of value. You can take all the classes and tutorials in the world, but they will be pointless if you aren't creative. Creativity can be learned to a small degree, but in the end...you can't fake creativity ;).
Creativity made me do it. I think this is a good question. At first glance, creative careers sound VERY risky...especially when I first looked into it.....It can be quite scary to say the least. My main fear was "Wait! There are so many people that can do what I do....right?" "Will I even be able to get a job?" That's where the answer to question #1 comes in. Some creative people are driven, and others are not. The ones that are driven can easily obtain success if they focus correctly. If a person is passionate enough about what they do, they can easily stand above the masses of their fellow "creatives" and have a very stable career. I think that can be applied to anything...really...just more so in the creative field.
The real answer is, I enjoy doing what I do. I pursued (and still pursuing) my happiness ;).
My primary inspiration comes from my fiancee, Ivy...and my turtle. I used to look up to all the people who were better than me, talent-wise...but now we all look up to each other, so it is sorta cool. Personal experience has greatly influenced my creativity. The more things I am exposed to, the more things I have to thing about, and all that is expressed through creativity. Experiences, whether good or bad will always be good experiences (I know that doesn't make since). So in other words, there is no such thing as a bad experience, even though certain situations might not be so good;).
My secondary inspiration comes from all of the creative people in the world. Whether they are creative teachers, professors, designers, artists, writers, dads, moms, etc. Creative people will always be thinking differently, outside the box. They all give a different perspectives on things, which is great and something to look forward to.
A project is finished when you are proud with what you have created. I also believe that a creative person is never done with their OWN work; they will always want to go back for revisions here and there. I'm sure even Picasso could vouch for that. However, when working with clients/projects where you have deadlines...you pretty much have to: meet the project requirements, make sure everything is accessible/functioning properly, and then you can go above and beyond the expectations of the project with your own touch of creativity.
