The public schools in the Northridge area are some of the finest and highest rated in all of Los Angeles County. The LAUSD K-12 schools surrounding the College Court Faculty/Staff Housing scored high and showed significant growth in the Academic Performance Index (API) scores (2010). This includes yearly performance and progress on statewide assessments notably STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) and the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Examination). Much of this can be attributed to the favorable teacher student ratios at the various school.
