RTM 151H Caving
Welcome to RTM 151H . . . and the exciting journey to the world of underground exploration. The class focus is on horizontal caving but will also introduce basic vertical caving techniques to students interested in descents and ascents.

The syllabus for the class will list the class meeting times - because the class is run on an acclerated or intensive format the class schedule is unique - so check it out - the 3-day field class is required (April 26-28, 2013 and must fit your life schedule. First Class meeting will be March 23 at 1:00 in Redwood Hall 153.
At the first class meeting the course will be fully described but in brief here is the format: class orientation followed by several weeks of in-class and on-line instruction followed by the culminating field class (wilderness trip) in caving.
Field Trip Information: Details will be provided at the class meeting prior to field trip. The three day field trip is scheduled for April 26-28 in Sequoia National Park where we will explore the wild sections of Crystal Cave and/or other caves depending on weather and access.
