Voices from the Past Exercise

Reflect back on "voices from the your past" in terms of the beliefs, attitudes, or values which told you about aspects of your heritage or your cultural self. For example, you may remember your father always saying "big boys don't cry" or your grandmother saying, " study hard so you can go to college and make this family proud".

So first of all just try to make a list of things you remember being said.  Keep thinking until you come up with a dozen 'family voices' between the specific questions below and your general remembering.
