Well - my putting everything into moodle is going slower than planned. But progress is being made.

Continue to use the course info at my faculty web page to continue progress with the class. Yes - I will respond with an rsvp to confirm receipts of assignments sent directly to my email - but it takes a bit to accomplish that with my current overload. I will catch up.

January 1, 2010 (Assignments for Week #1)

COURSE PAGES ARE STILL BEING UPDATED. But most stuff is in good shape. But you can get started by completing these four steps.

1. Review the 'guide to success' including the Sam story.

2. Review 'the FAQ' page. 3. Review the generic syllabus.

4. Purchase the Last Child in the Woods book by Richard Louv from your favorite online resource. (for the motivated - start reading at page one. )

January 19, 2010 Assignments for Week # 1 & 2

1. Wander your way to moodle.csun.edu later in week one as that will become the place to look for grades, assignments, etc. as the semester progresses. Log on - post a picture if you have one - but logging in shows me you have officiallly started the class.

2. Go the assignments page and begin to work on the Environmental Lifestyle Audit which is due January 31, 2010.

3. Begin reading the Last Child in the Woods (p.1-111 - not all that amount this week but the first half of the book will be covered as part of Exam I.)

4. From the assignments page - follow the link to the Pretest - no grade, just a way to introduce you to one of the testing programs that might be used for the semester.

5. Read about the Outdoor Discovery assignment (# 5) and make a plan!
