DATA FILES

These are data files for the complete examples of Chapters 4 through 17, Using Multivariate Statistics, 7th edition.  File names are referred to generically in the book, for example, SCREEN.*, and files are in three formats.

Formats are as follows:

SPSS                     *.SAV                   For SPSS (version 7 and higher), SYSTAT, and EQS
SAS                       *.sas7bdat            For SAS (version 8 and higher)
ASCII                    *.DAT                  Tab-separated ASCII files for spreadsheets and other software

Files to be downloaded are arranged by the software that can read them.  Data sets for each program are accessed through Dropbox with links provided below. Right click each file that you want and choose Save as....

The SAS file also includes NoncF2.sas and NoncChi.sas, syntax files to provide effect sizes and their confidence limits for F and chi-square values.*

The SPSS file also includes:
(1) canonical correlation.sps, a macro for running canonical correlation that is provided with recent Windows versions of SPSS but may not be readily available for Mac or earlier SPSS versions.
(2) NoncF3.SPS and NoncChi, SPSS syntax files for running NoncF.sav and NoncChi.sav for effect sizes and their confidence limits*
(3) NoncF.sav, a data file you begin to fill in before running NoncF3.sps in SPSS*
> (4) rweight.sps, a macro for conducting relative weight analysis for multiple regression, described in Chapter 5**
