·There will be Ten Tests taken online for this course (hence,
there is no midterm nor final exam).
·Each test will include twenty questions. Typically, the
first 15 questions on each test will come from the on-line Topics; while the
remaining five will come from the corresponding chapter of the course textbook.
·Please note that the On-line Topics do not necessarily
correlate in terms of their focus with the chapters of the text
book.
·Also, please be aware that questions on a Test may include
information from previous Topic discussions,
·You may take the Tests in any order, and at any time.
However, my recommendation is to take them sequentially. You may retake a
Test as often as you wish, and I will keep your highest scores.
·Each question will have a multiple choice
format, presenting a statement and 5 possible answers. Only one correct answer
is intended.
How is the FINAL COURSE GRADE determned?
·Your Average Test Score across the Ten Tests will be the major
determiner of your grade.
·PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL TEN TESTS MUST BE COMPLETED. MISSING
TESTS WILL BE COMPUTED AS HAVING RECEIVED A SCORE OF ZERO.
If your Average Test Score across the Ten Tests is 17.0
or above, you are in the A range of Test Score Averages.
If yourAverage Test Score across the Ten Tests
is 13.0 or LESS than 17.0, you are in the B range of Test Score Averages.
If yourAverage Test Score across the Ten Tests is
9.0 or LESS than 13.0, you are in the C range of Test Score Averages.
If yourAverage Test Score across the Ten Tests is
5.0 or LESS than 9.0, you are in the D range of Test Score Averages.
If your Average Test Score across the Ten Tests is below 5.0 you are
in the F range of Test Score Averages.
IMPORTANT - - TO MAINTAIN THE GRADE RECEIVED ON THE TEN TESTS AS A FINAL COURSE
GRADE, FULL CREDIT MUST BE RECEIVED ON THE 2ND, 3RD AND 4TH CLASS
REQUIREMENTS AS DESCRIBED IN THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS.For each Class Requirement that
receives less than Full Credit, or is not completed, the Final Course Grade
will be diminished by ONE LETTER GRADE.
When
you submit a Test through MOODLE, the computer will tell you the Score on the
Test.
·You may preview and/or take the Tests at any time; and you
may take the same test as many times as you wish. It is permissible
in this class to print them out first and use them as a study guide, but do not
attempt this in other classes without permission from the instructor.
·When you submit a test, the computer will immediately tell
you your score. Unfortunately, the computer will not tell you which questions
you missed! The only way to figure that
out is to reread the material and try to identify the question you may have
answered incorrectly.
·To
view or to take a test now, please go to your MOODLE site. If you are just
previewing the Tests, use the browser back button to return to this Section. If
you are taking a Test use the Submit link at the bottom of the Test.
