Welcome to My Site

I am a Professor of Management in the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Northridge. My areas of professional interest are strategic planning and implementation, leadership, performance management, ethics, and executive coaching. My personal interests are my family—my wife Ginny and my son Michael, tennis, film, and travel. Like many Americans, I am an immigrant. I emigrated from France to the U.S. at the age of three and grew up in New York City. My undergraduate degree is in Physics and Mathematics and I worked for a number of years on missile guidance systems before returning to school for my graduate degrees—an MBA in Marketing and Ph.D. in Management—both from UCLA. I am currently a Professor in the Department of Management and have been a consultant to over 80 private, public, and not-for-profit organizations in both North America and Europe in the areas of strategic planning, leadership and ethics.
