Just like you need a Web browser like Netscape or MS
Internet Explorer to use the World Wide Web, you need an
Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client to log into a chat session.
If you do not have an IRC client (program) installed on your
machine, you will need to download and install one before
you can participate in online discussions. To download and
install an IRC client follow the steps below.
- Download the appropriate IRC client for your
operating system. Save the file to your desktop or a
known directory so that it will be easy to locate.
- Install your client.
