| Course Requirements | ||
| This
class will follow all of the university regulations from
the undergraduate catalog and the schedule of classes on
subjects such as cheating on exams, plagarism, and late
late changes of enrollment such as a change to credit/no
credit nad late withdrawals. All requests for late
withdrawals after the offical deadline must satisfy the
offical guideline relating to medical issues or
employment demands and require documentation. Regular
attendance is expected of all students. Class lectures
and discussions will cover the information you will need
to pass the exams. Please note that this course fulfills requirement one (American history, institutions, and ideals) of Title V of GE. |
| Quizzes | ||
| The quizzes will based on the reading and will be multiple choice. There will be no make-ups on quizzes. Quiz questions will be similar to the types of questions available in the "Study Guides" and online through the course web page. Students must provide scantrons for the quizzes. |
| Exams | ||
| There will be a midterm exam and a final exam. The midterm and final exams will consist of a choice essay questions on the major topics covered in the course and shorter essay questions focused on the reading. For the shorter essay questions, students may review the "Review Questions" at the end of each chapter in Faragher and review appropriate sections from Breen and Monroy. Make-up exams on the midterm and final will be given only under extraordinary circumstances and if the instructor is consulted before or immediately after the exam. The midterm exam will come at the end of Section VI in the course outline. The quizzes, midterm and final will each count for approximately 33% of the final grade. The plus/minus system will be used. Students should provide blue books for the midterm and final exams. |
