A good site for learning more about the internet, email, etc, is Internet Resources for International Management by Dr. Mingfang Li of the Management Department at CSUN.

c|net central is, in my humble opinion, the best show on TV for info about the web, CD-Roms, etc. Their virtual software library is the first place I go to look for shareware and freeware. They have an interesting page on Education on the internet and suggestions for 'surfing' the web.
