Register now for this professional development workshop, which weaves scientific literacy and language arts into the rich natural environment of your local region. Workshops fill quickly. Register at 909.625.8767, ext 224.

Student-based computer scenarios are inquiry driven as you learn to design outdoor skate parks, select a paragliding site, identify a new plant that appears after a firestorm, or dismantle an offshore oil rig! All these PLUS hands-on classroom activities are aligned to the state science content standards and can be brought directly to your classroom.

On the second day you will move onto Ballona Wetlands for a full day investigation. There you will have a grand day looking at wildlife, conducting exercises in field sampling, population monitoring, and rapid biological assessment.

Thanks to the generosity of our funders, your only cost is a $10 registration fee. Teachers are eligible for a $100 stipend at the completion of the workshop.
