Group 5 (Painting)

End of the Semester Project

PICTIONARY!

The name of the game, draw from a category and get your team to know the answer in less than 3 minutes.  The class was split into two teams: Boys vs. Girls.  The categories were Cartoons, Painters, Actors, Musicians, Athletes, and Presidents/First Ladies.  Here were some of the results...(See if you can guess them!  And if you don’t get some of them, don’t worry we probably didn’t either!)

Cartoons (the most popular category)

Answers: Pinocchio, Wonder Woman, Winnie the Pooh (as you can see, she was frustrated.  Although I give her props for including Eeyore.  Thanks for noticing him), Bambie (that is a look of pleading right there, because everybody was clueless), Bam Bam, and, of course, Mickey Mouse.  (Where’s Bugs Bunny?)

Actors

Answers: Clint Eastwood (isn’t he a great drawer?), Dolly Parton (just a little too easy), John Wayne (are you sure that’s a horse he’s riding on?), Katherine Hepburn (the artist was unsure of her identity getting her confused with her “sister” Audrey.  But I bet that happened a lot in her real life.)  Michelle Pheiffer (the artist was trying to recreate the movie Grease 2.  Can you see it now?  She may not have remembered some of her most memorable work, but points for never giving up) and Grace Kelly.

Painters

Answers: Michelangelo (Yep, that’s our professor, Dr. Hardy, taking part in our game), Picasso, and Rembrandt  (By the way that’s Donna’s frustration, because she said she should have just drawn toothpaste, because the class was clueless as to what she was drawing)

Athletes

Answers: Mike Tyson (its too bad it is hard to see this one, it’s great as is all of his work.  I love the ghetto teeth.  If it were me, I would have drawn a big fat ear and a large mouth around it.  That’ s just me though) and O.J. Simpson  (Although that is a gun instead of a knife in O.J.’s hand, we all knew who that former athlete was) (How come the only pictures we have in this category are also violent crime offenders?  Mmmmmmmm.)

Presidents/First Ladies

Answers: Barbara Bush(And how could we not know who the blank face with white hair could be?  Although if she had drawn the pearls, it would have been the clencher) and George Washington (do you see the wooden teeth?)

And last but not least is............US!

(from left to right) Leslie Bartlett, Danise During, Varduhi Khatzhatryan, Karla Kaysakian, Meghan Umhofer, and Kandi Marks.

It was a great time working with all of you.  Thanks for making the class enjoyable.

With Love,

From the Smoothies J
