A middle-school inquiry-based curriculum on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome developed at UNC-Chapel Hill and aligned with the National Science Education Standards. Curriculum kits are free and include guided teacher and lab instructions, online videos, CD-ROM, and ordering instructions for lab materials. All components are available for download.

A middle school curriculum supplement involving 6 hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that fit into the 5E’s Instructional Model. It includes web-based components that simulate intoxicated and sober mice, time and genetics, calculations and impact on BAC levels as well as depictions of intoxicated drivers, requiring students to make observations and inferences.
