Math 140: Introductory Statistics (15165)

Textbook: The Basic Practice of Statistics, 5th edition, by David S. Moore.

Gear: You will need a calculator that will find means, standard deviations, correlations, and regression lines. Look for a model that mentions "two variables statistics" or "regression". The recommended model is Texas Instruments' TI-83 or 84.
Homework: Howework problems will be assigned in every class, due the next class. No late homework will be accepted. Ever. Really.
Exams: We will have two in-class midterm exams, on Wednesday, September 30 and Monday, November 9.
Final Exam: Monday, December 14 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Grades:
Homework 10%
Midterm exams 2 x 25%
Final exam 40%
Grades will be determined as follows:
