Special Interest Areas: Jim maintains a balance in teaching, research and clinical work in the sexual area with a focus on sexual disorders, paraphilias, offenders, homosexuality and the transgendered community. Human Sexuality Courses:

Background: Jim did his undergraduate work in Psychology at Southern Illinois University and his Masters in Sociology also at SIU. He went to Indiana University for his doctoral studies and a position with the Kinsey Institute for Sex Research. He completed his academic work at Indiana while doing research with Paul Gebhard and William Simon. He completed his clinical work with Wardell Pomeroy at the Institute for Advanced Studies. He is licensed as a Marriage, Family and Child Therapist.
