Special Interest Areas: Field of sexology, especially the history of sex and he has done research studies on homosexuality, lesbianism, transvestism, transsexuals, transgender, prostitution, contraception, abortion and sado-masochism. He is interested in all areas of human sexuality.


Background: Vern's academic background was at the University of Chicago. He was the founding director of The Center for Sex Research at California State University, Northridge; Professor Emeritus from the History Department at CSUN and went to the State University of New York system as Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences and a distinguished professor. He is currently a visiting professor at the University of Southern California.


Selected Bibliography: Vern Bullough is the author, co-author, or editor of nearly 50 books; he has contributed chapters or introductions to more than 70 other books; has published 150 refereed articles, and more than 200 articles in non refereed journals.
