Ian Barnard
I am Associate Professor of English at California State University, Northridge, where my teaching and research interests include Queer Theory and Composition Studies. I have taught courses in Queer Theory, Queer Film and Video, and Queer Reading at The Ohio State University and at CSUN. My publications include the book Queer Race: Cultural Interventions in the Racial Politics of Queer Theory and articles in the journals/anthologies Women’s Studies, Radical Teacher, MELUS (Multi-Ethnic Literatures of the US), States of Rage, and Socialist Review. I was a founding member of Queer Nation/San Diego. In addition to presenting numerous scholarly papers at national conferences, I have spoken at queer activist/community events at Indiana University Bloomington, the University of Oregon, San Diego State University, and the University of California San Diego.
