• Blindness should be reserved for a complete loss of functional sight

• Only a small minority of people are actually totally blind

• Major challenge is the mass of printed material encountered on a daily basis

• By the time the person reaches employment, they have developed various methods for dealing with the volumes of visual materials. Ask the person for their accommodation needs.
