Examples of Past Final Projects

I am providing a couple of class projects from the past below. These projects are meant to give you an idea of the kind of webpages groups may have created in the past. Please note... these projects were considered "average." I am providing them so that you can have a sense of how you could construct your webpage rather simply. You are of course invited to develop a more aesthetic webpage, and particularly to work on a higher degree of analysis if your group is striving for an "A" on this project.

Media Influence on Society - looks at the race/class/gender/sexuality dimensions of media's influence.

Eve Ensler Webpage - this page was done for another class... where they were profiling women who were "agents of change". it is provided as an example of the kind of information/simplicity of design you could look for when doing your group project.

War on Terror - this webpage attempts to look at different gender, racial and class aspects of war. Once again, it provides a simple and straightforward presentation, although it needs a little more analysis, and some links to more in-depth information. However, the webpage should give you a baseline to work from in terms of simple design.

Eating Disorders and the Media - this page attempted to discuss the impact of media on eating disorders in various groups. this could use.

IMPORTANT CLASS NOTES :

1. I will be emailing students in this class on your CSUN accounts. You are responsible to check that account regularly. If you do not use that account often, please go to the ITR website or call the CSUN Helpdesk [x1400] and learn how to forward mail from your CSUN account so that you get these class communications regularly.

2. Please re-visit and download again the schedule and syllabus ON THE 1st DAY OF CLASS.
Although these have been available through much of the summer... I have been making changes [small and big] over time. They are only considered to be in their FINAL version on the 1st day of class.
