YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES for WS350 Winter Online

You are responsible for checking in to the class webpage regularly once the course begins (about once a day), in order to get the latest announcements as well as to complete assignments and exercises for the class.

You are also responsible for having a good connection, a reliable computer and access to the web in order to take this class.

Not being able to log in will not be an acceptable excuse for late work or missed chats.

You will also need the basic skills to follow online instructions and navigate the websites we use. If you are doubtful that you have these skills, please try and use the WebCT discussion links over the next day or two to see if you are comfortable with it.

If you are not comfortable using WebCT, following online instructions or do not have an adequate connection, I recommend you drop this class and sign up for an alternative course that is not online. I will not be able to provide you with training in computer skills during this course.

Finally... remember that you will get as much out of this course as you put into it. This course and the readings will challenge you. If you do all the readings and assignments with diligence, and an open mind, I hope you will find that you are engaging with some of the most pressing and potentially transformative ideas and issues of the day.
