Course information:	GWS 350 - Fall 2009
Class #	13899 (Tuesdays)
How do I register?	You register for this class as you would for any other class. You do not need any special permission number from me.
Where do we meet?	All your assignments will be done online. We do not meet in a physical classroom
Are there class timings?	Yes. We will meet online on some Mondays and Wednesdays for a 'synchronous online chat' at the times listed on your class schedule. The rest of the time, you just have to make sure you submit assignments on time and keep up with the readings.
Will I need to go to CSUN?	You will need to watch 3-4 films for this course which are available at the CSUN Media Library. You can watch the films on your own time, taking notes on the films for class tests and discussions. Or you can watch the films elsewhere if you find a library that carries them. However, they are documentaries that are not easy to find in most video stores. So please take this into consideration when signing up for the course.
What technology will I need for this course?	We will be using Moodle & ELLUMINATE for this course. In order to access Moodle, you need to make sure you have a CSUN email account and that you are registered for this course. If you are, you can login to Moodle and click on this course name to access our site there. Moodle login. In order to access Elluminate you need to click on that link within Moodle. It will take it to our classroom within Elluminate, where we will be able to chat live. A few points for working in Elluminate: 1. Make sure that you are in a place where you have a headphone to listen to the class discussion, or where it is okay to have your computer speaker on. 2. If you have a pair of headphones/mic please use that, as it will improve your experience of the class. If you don't... your computer's speakers/inbuilt microphone should work okay.
