Basic Course Information

Course information:

WS 350 - Fall 2008

Class # 18498 (Monday) or 18521 (Tuesday)
How do I register? You register for this class as you would for any other class. You do not need any special permission number from me.
Where do we meet? All your assignments will be done online.
We do not meet in a physical classroom
Are there class timings? Yes. We will meet online mostly on Mondays 12-2 p.m.or Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. (depending on your section) for a 'synchronous online chat'.

The rest of the time, you just have to make sure you submit assignments on time and keep up with the readings. So please make sure you are available during the official listed hours for the course, even if we are not using all of them for synchronous work.
Will I need to go to CSUN? You will need to watch 3-4 films for this course which are available at the CSUN Media Library.

You can watch the films on your own time, taking notes on the films for class tests. Or you can watch the films elsewhere if you find a library that carries them. A couple of the films are available online. So you can access them that way.

However, they are documentaries that are not easy to find in most video stores. So please take this into consideration when signing up for the course.
What technology will I need for this course?

We will be using WebCT for this course.
In order to access WebCT, you need to make sure you have a CSUN email account and that you are registered for this course. If you are, you can login to WebCT and click on this course name to access our site there.
