Introduction to Grammar and Linguistics

Students in English 400 have a wide variety of backgrounds, and not everybody has a strong knowledge of grammatical structure and linguistic terminology. The following files are intended as a reference to help people at all levels to obtain the fundamental knowledge and vocabulary to examine the history of English at different stages.

Each file is in Adobe's PDF format. In order to read them, you must have Adobe Acrobat 5.0 on your computer. If you do not have it, you need to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0, which is available for free.
