English 400 Handouts

Dear Everyone in English 400,

Once again, I wish to apologise for cancelling class on Monday, 25 November due to illness. In order to make up for lost time, I am providing some of the handouts online. Please try and download them and read them in time for our next class.

The final exam is scheduled for Monday, 9 December. Because of the short amount of time, I will again assign it as a take-home exam. The exam will cover Early Modern English, the development of prescriptivism, and the development of English during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries (which we will cover on Monday).
