TEI Encoding of Subterranean Homesick Blues
I recently came across a thought-provoking video of Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues, which scrolls an XML-encoded version of the song next to a video of Dylan singing and display cards with keywords from the lyrics. The XML follows the schema of the Text Encoding Initiative, and it's pretty easy to see from the names of the tags what is being encoded. The video effectively conveys simultaneous oral, scribal, and digital performances.
