The Klotz Student Health Center is recruiting for Health Promotion Interns for Fall 2013. This internship is designed to help students gain experience in health promotion. Internship projects will be based on the individual student's interests and the goals and needs of the Klotz Student Health Center.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Staffing CSUN's Living Well Lounge (a satellite of the Klotz Student Health Center)
  • Ability to present/train on a variety of health topics (e.g., wellness/healthy lifestyle, stress and sleep, alcohol tobacco and other drugs)
  • Creating content (e.g., writing short articles, developing presentations, making posters)
  • Planning and implementing outreach activities across campus (e.g., "Care"avans)
  • Speaking to students and facilitating discussions
  • Attending mandatory weekly meetings
  • Completing other duties, as assigned


  • Currently enrolled in B.S. Public Health Promotion program and related internship class
  • Ability to commit to a full semester (approximately 8-9 hours per week)
  • Availability to work occasional evenings/weekends and attend workshops as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Mandatory Fall training: 3-day training in August 2013 (dates to be determined)
  • Mandatory Weekly meetings: Fall and Spring semesters (dates to be determined)
