Sometimes having the right word or phrase can help you determine who can best assist you with your health concerns. Did you know that you'll find all these specialists at the Klotz Student Health Center?

Birth Control (BC) Counselor:

provides information on BC options to avoid unplanned pregnancy.

Chiropractor:

prevents and treats muscle, joint and ligament problems by adjusting the spinal column.

Dentist:

specializes in mouth and dental health problems.

Dermatologist:

specializes in diagnosis and treatment of diseases/conditions of the skin, hair, or nails.

Dietitian/Nutrition Counselor:

teaches about nutrition or develops diets to promote health.

ENT/Ear Nose & Throat Specialist:

specializes in the diagnosis/treatment of diseases/conditions of the ear, nose, and throat.

Gynecologist:

specializes in diagnosis/treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system.

Health Educator:

provides information on health issues through education, presentations and materials.

HIV Counselor:

helps assess risk for HIV and discusses ways behaviors can be made safer.

Massage Therapist:

a licensed therapist who provides massage for stress reduction & other healing purposes.

Men's Health Specialist:

specializes in the promotion and improvement of men's health.

Nurse:

assesses health or illness situations, plans and implements care.

Nurse Practitioner:

Registered Nurse (RN) with advanced education and clinical training.

Optometrist:

diagnoses and treats vision problems and diseases of the eye.

Pharmacist:

dispenses prescription drugs and provides information about medications and their use.

Physical Therapist:

identifies and helps correct problems with physical movement to promote health.

Podiatrist:

diagnoses and treats medical and surgical problems of the feet and ankles.

Pregnancy Counselor:

provides information on pregnancy options.

Smoking Cessation:

provides education and counseling on ways to stop smoking.

Sports Medicine Specialist:

treats injuries to bones, muscles, joints, tendons, or ligaments that result from physical activity.

Substance Use Counselor:

listens to a person's concerns about alcohol, tobacco, or other substance use and offers assistance and referrals.

Urologist:

specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the urinary systems in men and women.
