Appointments

Appointments may be scheduled with our primary care physicians and nurse practitioners for basic healthcare needs. Primary care appointments can usually be scheduled within a week of request. Appointments can be made during Health Information Management's operating hours. To avoid long wait times, students are encouraged to schedule appointments for non-peak times. The Klotz Student Health Center is busiest between 10:00am and 4:00pm. If you are ill, injured or have an urgent medical need, you may walk in to the Klotz Student Health Center without an appointment. You will be evaluated by the triage nurse who may be able to arrange for a same day appointment or provide a referral to meet your needs.

No-Show Policy

Patients who do not keep scheduled appointments are subject to a no-show charge as described below.

  • Basic Services
    • Appointments that are not kept and not cancelled within a minimum of 2 hours before the appointment time are subject to a no-show charge of $5.00.
  • Low-Cost Services
    • Appointments that are not kept and not cancelled at least one business day before the appointment are subject to a no-show charge as follows:
      • Acupuncture - $20.00
      • Chiropractic - $10.00
      • Dental - $25.00
      • Dermatology -
        • $25.00 new appointments
        • $15.00 follow-up appointments
        • $30.00 procedure appointments
        • Additional charges may apply.
      • Massage Therapy - $20.00
      • Optometry - $10.00

Information You Will Need When Scheduling an Appointment

When making an appointment you will need:

  • Your CSUN User Name and Password (if scheduling online)
  • Your Cal State Northridge Student ID Number
  • A description of your symptoms or your need
  • Days and times you are available for an appointment
  • The name of a preferred clinician (if applicable)
