GEOGRAPHY 417: California Geography and History

Announcements

*      January 15, 2004:  Welcome back to CSUN.  This page will contain occasional announcements regarding changes in course schedules, assignments, etc.  Please check it regularly.

*       February 13, 2004: A student brought it to my attention that the schedule referred to assignment one being due.  Apparently, I had the draft schedule on-line and not the one I thought was on-line.  Please take a look and print out the new schedule.  You’ll notice it has the assignment now taken OFF and the history readings (on-line and free) on the schedule.  We’ll discuss it on Wednesday.  Make sure you read the short section on The First Californians for Wednesday.  A text-only version is also available to print if you’d like.

*      February 24, 2004: Since I will be forced to miss class on March 3rd and 17th, I have made alternate assignments.  Please check the LINK to see details on the assignments.  I’m open to suggestions for additional learning tools.

*      March 23, 2004:  An extraordinary number of students were going to have difficulty coming to the test on Wednesday and a number also were having trouble getting prepared.  I have been out of town and haven’t been around to help you prepare, so you and your fellow students have voted overwhelmingly to have instead a take home midterm.  It will be posted on-line soon.  CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE MIDTERM 1 (when it is available).

*      4/21/2004:  A disturbing number of students do not have any grade for the essays on the exams.  Where are they?  You need to contact Dr. Graves immediately if your essay does not have a grade posted for it on-line.

*      5/24/2004:  The final exam is on Wednesday at 5:30 to 7:30.  Bring a 882 Green rectangular Scantron form AND a number two pencil.  Make sure that you have checked your grades and that EVERYTHING that you have turned in is accounted for BY WEDNESDAY AT NOON.
