Why Should I become a member of SDFSA?

  • Get connected- You get to meet and learn from professionals from all over the Food Science, nutrition, and dietetics field.
  • Develop channels of communication between students, advisors, faculty, the Family Consumer Sciences department, and the community in the areas of Dietetics, Food Science and related fields;
  • Serve as the source of food and nutrition information on campus.
  • Be with other people who love food as much as you do
  • Keep current with what’s happing in the industry
  • Make new friends!
  • Discover a new passion
  • Get involved in your community

There are many reasons why you should join, but don’t just take my word for it. Come to a morning meeting and ask a member or an officer (or both) why they joined.
