Pathways to Teaching
The Michael D. Eisner College of Education offers various pathways to earn a Teaching Credential:
The Traditional Program: Offers the most flexibility for candidates, allowing them to enroll in courses full-time or part-time
ACT (Accelerated Collaborative Teacher Preparation Program):A full-time, one-year program for qualified candidates with classes meeting at Poly HS and CSUN
University Intern: Candidates who are employed full-time as public school teachers may earn their preliminary credential while on the job
ITEP:Freshmen or Juniors can obtain a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Credential currently
FYI:Freshmen or Juniors can obtain a bachelor’s degree in English or Mathematics and a Single Subject Credential currently
