About Me: My name is Sheela Bhongir. I am an Urban Planning student at CSUN with a minor in Geographic Information Systems. My career goal is to revitalize existing cities and create new cities using a sustainable planning approach. I envision these eco-cities to have community gardens, zero waste centers, alternative transportation methods, rainwater collection, impervious surfaces, farmer’s markets, affordable housing and other amenities to foster growth for future generations. Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.) is a powerful science and tool to help us analyze where we currently are and what we can do to get there.
