Welcome to the ITEP Portfolio Showcase!

 Congratulations on completing your student teaching AND the credential program at CSUN!

This showcase has been planned in order to provide you with an opportunity to share your achievement of California Professional Teaching Standards!  It is your opportunity to learn how your peers respond to the evidence you have selected as well as to give positive feedback to them on the content of their TPE Portfolios.

 We will be following the “2-4-8 Conference Sharing” which will give you the opportunity to view and respond to many of your peers’ portfolios.  Please be sure to follow this structure as described in order to maximize the satisfaction for each participant.  Enjoy!

 

Directions for the 2-4-8 Portfolio Showcase

 

1.      “2”   Find a partner with whom you feel comfortable sharing ALL items in your portfolio.  Use the Portfolio Reflection Questions for Partners as a guide.

 

 

2.     “4” When you and your partner have completed your sharing of each portfolio, complete the Portfolio Reflection Questions for Partners.  Then locate another pair. 
It is your responsibility to introduce your partner’s portfolio and to describe the items that show the most compelling evidence of meeting one or more TPE’s.  Your partner then responds to comments/questions/suggestions that the group offers. 

 

Each person then selects his or her strongest or most satisfying artifact to bring to the next round of sharing.

 

3.    “8” As each “quad” completes the steps in item 2 they must locate another quad who is ready to move to Step 3.  It is here that each person shares their portfolio and showcases the single item that has been selected.  The members of the group offer comments and suggestions as each person presents.

 **Upon completion of the sharing, each participant will complete the portfolio showcase evaluation.
