The Sierra Nevada mountain range in California offers climbing of all sorts in some of the most beautiful settings. Just around the town of Bishop alone you will find the gigantic boulders of the Buttermilks, great sport climginb in the Owen's River Gorge, and possibly millions of boulder problems at the Happy and Sad boulders. Camping here is fun too. While in Bishop, make sure to stop by Schat's Bakery, and if you eat meat, got to Mahogany Smoked Meats for (according to many) the best beef jerky ever.
