Ann Dittmer's California Native Plant Page!

Welcome to my native plant page! To appeal both to the outdoor explorer and the dedicated
wildflower hunter, I've arranged images by physical location as opposed to taxonomic reference.
When possible, I show the landscape where the flowers are found. Most images are of California
native plants, though some horticultural varieties and out-of-state natives are included too!

Being of amateur botanist status, most of my identifications use common names. Latin equivalents
(if known) follow in italics. I would much appreciate any corrections, or additions, to my
identification (or lack thereof). Try as I might to be accurate, my numerous identification books
are still limiting--and I'm still learning!

This page is under construction, and new wildflower locations will be added over time.
Enjoy the site!
