Designing a Website For This Course |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Website development
can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. The traditional method
of creating websites has been through the use of HyperText Markup Language (HTML), a language used to create documents on the World Wide Web. The
problem is, HTML can be time consuming to learn, which has not made it
very practical for educational use.
This has changed in the past several years through the mainstreaming of programs which are WYSIWYG (short for What You See Is What You Get). These computer programs allow website developers to create websites in an environment which is very similar to that of a word processor (indeed, you can even create websites in MS Word). In this class you will be using Macromedia
Studio (especially Dreamweaver)
to create your digital portfolio. |
