Creating a Website Template
Creating templates is essential for the most basic website design. If you look at each of the pages in this site, you will notice that they all look the same. This is not some miraculous feat of precision artwork - rather it is the careful creation of one document (a template) which can be used for creating every other webpage for this site.
Some sites may run with only one template for their pages, and other sites will have several templates to differentiate various parts of their site.
Step 1 - Open Dreamweaver and Create a New Site
Step 2 - Create a Template Document
Step 3 - Create a Table
Step 4 - Insert a Banner (image)
Step 5 - Insert Editable Regions
Step 6 - Save the Template
