Membership in Psi Chi at CSUN
To join Psi Chi, undergraduates must have a minimum of 45 semester units, nine of which must be from psychology courses, and a 3.0 GPA both cumulatively and within the psychology major. Transfer students must have attended California State University, Northridge, for at least one semester.
Graduate students must have attended California State University, Northridge, for at least one semester and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
If you have an existing membership at another Psi Chi chapter and wish to transfer it, please visit the office in Sierra Hall, room 306C.
If you wish to join, download an application (PDF, DOC), or pick one up at the Psi Chi office in Sierra Hall, room 306C. Submit the completed form with a copy of your most recent degree progress report and a check or money order for $70 payable to Psi Chi to the Psi Chi office or drop it in Psi Chi's mailbox in SH 370. The fee pays for lifetime membership.
Once your application has been processed, you will receive a welcome email and notices about events. You will then be eligible to join the executive board and/or research team as well as earn graduation regalia.
To participate in this year's induction ceremony, your application needs to be received by April 19th, 2011. Otherwise, we accept applications on a rolling basis.
