Art 461: History of Graphic Arts

Step 1

Students must have a CSUN email account and password in order to operate Moodle.

To activate your account:
1. Go to http://www.csun.edu
2. Go to top Right corner, “myNorthridge"
3. Enter User ID and password (call 677-1400 if you don't have these.)
4. Read and "accept" the account policy.
5. Reset your password, authentication, question, and mail delivery preference.


Step 2

You can access the course by logging onto Moodle at http://moodle.csun.edu/.

You use the same User ID and password as your use to access the Web Portal.

The course is currently not up yet. Please be patient. In the meantime you can read syllabus and schedule on

http://www.csun.edu/~pjd77408/DrD/

(Once the course is up, the course should appear on your main menu. Click on the course homepage icon, read the syllabus, make sure you have the correct textbook for the course (ISBN# and titles located below), and then click on the weekly schedule. There you will find instructions for each week.

You should also be familiar with the Moodle program. For more information go to the IT site.

Step 3

(Must be most updated edition John Wiley and Sons, 2006)

Step 5

Course Communication:

We will be using the mail program within Moodle for most of our email corespondence.

In the mean time....... If for some reason you must send an email to my regular CSUN address (paula.j.dimarco@csun.edu) you MUST INCLUDE YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME AND THE NAME OF YOUR COURSE (461).

Step 6

CSUN Communication:

Email is the official method of communication between faculty, students and staff. Therefore, if you aren't monitoring your email, you may not be receiving critical information from the university.

Faculty, staff and students MUST either monitor their campus email or forward their campus email to their personal email provider to ensure that they receive critical information from the university.

To activate your account:

To Forward Your Mail:
1. Steps 1, 2, 3 the same.
2. Under "online resources” click “WebMail”
3. Login with user name and password.
4. Click "Options"
5. Click "Forwarding"
6. Input forwarding email address, click "START".
