Post information about YOU on the discussion section of Moodle.

Tell us a little about yourself. What are your hopes and aspirations for this course? What is your art background? Are you working as an artist or graphic designer? Do you have a favorite graphic artists? Any hobbies closely related to graphic design? Tell us! Write around one paragraph, then post it.

Respond to at least two of your classmate’s postings.

Remember to write your postings in your word processing program first, then copy and paste so that you will have a backup copy.

Choose 2 designer you were the most interested from these links or from any other sources and do the following:

1. Make 2 new subject postings with the subject being the name of the designer.
( Include a link to a website that has more information on that designer. )

2. Tell the class some information about each of your chosen designers. Provide some insight: what you found interesting, and how it might relate to your artistic endeavors.

If someone has already spoken about the designer you chose. Then put your information under that subject matter. Make sure the information is additional to what has been posted already.

3. Read as many postings as you can and respond to one other posting.

Forum Discussion 10: Title design and motion graphics

Post a name of a film or show that has titles or credits that you find interesting

I showed several movies that had title designs. In this discussion posting I want you to post a name of a film that has interesting titles designs.

Please do the following:

Part 1:

  1. create a new subject posting with the name of the film

  2. provide a link to some information about the film

  3. If you can.... tell everyone who did the title design

  4. If you can find the title sequence online, then provide that link as well.

  5. provide a brief 1-2 sentences describing the title sequence of the film.
    DO NOT post a film I have shown or posted on the Motion Graphics lecture
    page.


  6. Choose a title sequence that know one else has posted.
    So look and see what everyone else has discussed.

  7. Remember, make sure the name of the posting is the name of the film.

Part 2:

  1. Read other people's postings. Click on their links and watch some of the titles.

  2. Respond to two other postings.

Exam

Take online.

Exam is schedule for Monday December 12. However you can take the exam anytime between Dec. 9th and Dec. 14th

The exam must be taken in one sitting.....so you must have a good internet connection. (exam is open for 3 hours only) Once you login to the exam the clock is ticking and you only have 180 minutes to take it.

Remember: prepare your notes a head of time. Do not waste the time searching the internet for your answers. Have everything in front of you. Put posted on your text book. Print out the study guide.
