Message from the Director...
In response to the increasing importance of insurance and risk management in a world of increasing international trade, economic growth and industrial reorganization, the College of Business and Economics established the Center for Insurance Education and Research in 1993.
The primary objectives of the center are:

To promote development of insurance education;

To encourage scholarly projects and publication related to insurance, risk management, and finance;

Increase communication among insurance industry companies, faculty, and the public on issues related to insurance and risk management.
As an integral part of the planning and growth of the center, an Advisory Board has been established. The Advisory Board meets twice a year to discuss issues relevant to the College and the Financial Services Program.
