Interview With Creative Genius
1. I have always been drawn to beautiful things. The creative mind is the most beautiful thing in the world.
2. The idea solidified when I was in high school. I started showing my work in student art shows. I took a break to see if there was something I wanted to do and became physically ill. Art is my sanity. Without it I become dysfunctional.
3. Creative people are open to see things from the inside-out instead of outside-in.
4. Of course my training in realism and anatomy is essential to my work. However, the most important aspect is staying in the work constantly.
5. Only when I think a project is not turning out the way I envisioned it in my mind.
6. I am inspired by anyone who looks past the obvious. I have been supported by so many people and I am so thankful.
7. People have their opinions. If someone can come up with a comment whether it be negative or positive, it means you have done your job as an artist. My work should evoke emotion and inspire contemplation.. Enlightenment and change cannot emerge from stagnation.
8. Whenever I start to feel that way I know I have to push harder. Art should not make you comfortable.
9.I completely immerse myself into each project from research to production.
10. Differently every time depending on the project.
11. I would be a paint brush so I could constantly tell a different story and live in imagination.
12. First imagine your wildest dream, then chase it until you take your last breath. Only death can stop you.
