Victor Magaña

Research Interests: My name is Victor Magaña, I am a recent graduate from Cal State Northridge in the field of Psychology. I have been a McNair Scholar since 2011 through which I was connected with Dr. Abara and the Neuroscience lab. My research interests lie in the neural substrates of hallucinations, addiction, sleep, and cognitive functioning. I am also interested in the electrophysiology of the brain, but would love to delve into other types of brain scanning/imaging in the near future.
Academic Goals: In the future I hope to pursue a doctorate degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis on neuropsychology or a doctorate in neuroscience.
Hobbies: I enjoy making music, riding my bike, climbing trees and/or boulders, crawling through caves, and getting lost.
