Numbers and Office Hours
The FE/EIT Review
workshop for the October 2008 exam started on 9:00AM, Saturday, July 19th,
2008 in room JD2524 for the first meeting and in room JD1609 for subsequent
meetings. The exam date is October 25th, 2008, and the final
postmark date for filing is August 22nd, 2008. All classes are from
9:00AM to 3:00PM (with one hour lunch break). The link to the Board of
Registration for Engineers and Land Surveyors is www.pels.ca.gov and an application form may
be downloaded. Note the change of calculator usage starting April 2004
examination.

Schedule for Fall 2008 FE Workshop
The Professional
Engineer Review workshops for Civil Engineers are offered at CSUN starting July
2008. The deadline to apply for the all October 2008 PE examinations was July
18th, 2008. The schedule is shown below:
· PE Review for the 8 Hour National Exam started on
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008 at 7:00PM in room JD2522. Subjects covered
are structural, geotechnical, construction, water resources, environmental and
transportation. The course is 44 hours. The fee for the course is $625 **. The workshop includes the new material of
construction engineering. Course

· PE Review for the Special Surveying Exam started
Thursday, July 17th, 2008 at 7:00PM in room JD1609. The course is 18
hours. The fee for the course is $325 **. Course

August 28th, 2008 at 7:00PM in room JD1552. The course is 18 hours.

Schedule for the PE Review
Workshops at CSUN
** Fees do not
include the books and reference materials. If a participant registers for all 3
workshops, the total fee will be $1,200. Please contact Nazaret Dermendjian for
further information.
All classes (except
transportation) start at 7:00PM and end at 9:45PM. Transportation engineering
is one 5 ½ - hour session on Saturday August 16th, 2008, from
9:00AAM to 3:30PM (with one hour lunch break).
