ANALYZING DATA SETS: GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) AND AND SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR (SAR)

NASA-PAIR Seminar Series - Fall 2000 Schedule

Tuesdays 3:30 - 4:30 Science 2132

This lecture series will explore the interdisciplinary nature of analyzing data sets in math and science, presented by experts in academia and the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena.  The general topics include: plate tectonics, faulting and earthquakes, engineering analysis of stress - strain on materials, Global Positioning System (GPS) concepts (coordinate system, reference systems, lat. & long.) and applications to earthquakes, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Interferometry (InSAR).
