Hell * The Hell that is also known as downtown St Louis:
Never again will I venture into East St. Louis. There were many great photo opportunities that I passed up simply for fear of dying on some curb in the ghetto. Crazy people? * 700 x 525 * (71KB)
Nebraska * Driving in the Midwest:
About halfway through Nebraska (or was it Kansas?) I went slightly psycho and resorted to taking hundreds of absolutely wasteful pictures. To bad one of them actually came out; now I will forever have a reminder of how utterly worthless these states are. * 525 x 700 * (32KB)
Bryce * Bryce Canyon National Park, UT:
One of my favorite photos from the trip. I showed up to Bryce canyon right before the sun crested the mountains and before the thunderheads rolled in. Quite a sight. * 700 x 525 * (101KB)
Encinitas * A lightning storm in Encinitas, CA:
Another one of my feeble attempts at low light photography. Not too impressive.
 * 700 x 525 * (45KB)
Somewhere in the desert * Lone tree somewhere north of Bishop, CA:
It wasn?t my idea to drive this far into the desert that day. With the fuel gage on empty and the car running on fumes, I ran out into the field and snapped this really quick.
 * 525 x 700 * (79KB)

Morgan Pass * Morgan Pass, CA:
As the cold front came over the Sierras, we were forced to end our weeklong trip to cover Morgan Pass; we never reached the top. Snow pack was thicker than we expected and the temperature dropped below what our gear was rated for. Crampons would have been helpful too. Because I am man, and man cannot be defeated, I will be back in the next few winters to conquer.
 * 525 x 700 * (61KB)
La Jolla * La Jolla, CA:
Yes this picture is real, and no I didn?t digitally add colors. I?m not a fan of abstract photography, but something in this photo reminds me of all the great summers I have had bumming around in La Jolla. Good times.
 * 500 x 700 * (101KB)
Kiddie Pool * Seals and their pups in La Jolla, CA:
I have always called it seal/wipeout beach, but apparently I?m wrong. Either way, to me it has been my favorite place to go when I wanted to swim with the seals.
 * 700 x 500 * (91KB)
Santa Monica Pier * The pier at Santa Monica, CA:
Out of all the times I have sat on the pier, this time had to be my favorite. The air was crisp, swells were big, and the city?s freaks were in full force.
 * 700 x 500 * (95KB)
Elsinore * Skydive Elsinore, Lake Elsinore, CA:
This picture is preferably viewed with ?beer in hand.?

Sunset Load * Ride to altitude in the Otter at Skydive Elsinore, Lake Elsinore, CA:
One of the few ?planned? photos that I have ever taken. Looking down into the smoggy basin makes you appreciate what sunset loads are all about.
 * 700 x 500 * (48KB)
Doug * Doug landing at Skydive Elsinore, Lake Elsinore, CA:
Known for geeking any and every camera in the landing area, Doug couldn?t quite make it to the camera this time. Dramatic.
 * 500 x 700 * (90KB)
Ellen * Ellen landing at Skydive Elsinore, Lake Elsinore, CA:
One of my personal favorites.
 * 500 x 700 * (46KB)
Dan * Dan landing at Skydive Elsinore, Lake Elsinore, CA:
With a split slider, wearing some type of homeopathic arm brace and dirty frap hat, Dan is a walking museum; a cool one.
 * 500 x 700 * (53KB)
