Mai Jara Profile pictureMai Narasaki-Jara, MS, ATRIC is a Lecturer and the Director of Adapted Aquatics Program at the Abbott and Linda Brown Western Center for Adaptive Aquatic Therapy / Center of Achievement (COA) for the Department of Kinesiology at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

She administers more than 20 adapted aquatic therapeutic exercise classes at the COA including

- Multiple Sclerosis Society Aquatic Exercise
- Adapted Aquatics Strengthening
- Deep Water Exercise
- Weight Management Program
- Individualized adapted aquatic exercise

She has worked with a wide variety of people with disabilities; ranging from children to adults having mild to severe conditions. As a clinical supervisor for the COA, she evaluates, designs, and implements customized adapted aquatic exercises that are specific to individual needs.

She is also an adjunct instructor of Adapted Physical Activity for the Department of Physical Education at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA.

She is a certified Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Instructor, Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Instructor, Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute (ATRI), Ai Chi instructor, WATSU practitioner and licensed massage therapist.
