Remember, this is middle school.
It is a time of transition. Students need to be independent and responsible. Success in high school is based on student's being responsible for her/his academic work and working independently.

Have your child select a specific time to complete homework at that same time everyday. Routine helps students to stay focused and to complete assignments.

Homework Tips

In science, students have homework Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Read your child's planner to determine the homework assignment. Ask to see your child's homework. If he/she can not show it to you, have your child sit down near you to complete the assignment.

Remember, if you ask, "Did you do your homework?" Most likely, the answer will be yes which may or may not be true. If you ask to see the homework, the truth will appear!!!
